The Pillage International Trophy 2011

“The International Trophy” took place at the Royal Philatelic Society London on Saturday 5th November (10am – 5pm). It was a very enjoyable day attended by 40 people. The judges final score was a draw, and the new award given by Derrick Pillage for the best in show was awarded to Peter Motson for his Newfoundland exhibit.

Displays were given by Pradip Jain and his friend on Indian Airmails whilst the exhibits were being judged. We were then entertained by Ashley Lawrence with a power point display which enhanced his 'Seige of Paris' display.

The day ended with an enjoyable meal at the local pub were the banter and buzz continued. We now await the return match in 2013 at Westpex in San Francisco.

Bill Robertson

It is with great regret that we have to announce that Bill Robertson died on 6th October. He was a major figure in Aerophilately with many friends throughout the world and had perhaps the finest Turkish air mail collection in the world.

He contributed a lot to the Society, was the Scottish Organiser for many years and will be greatly missed.
